The Watson Counter-Balanced Plate Loaded Smith Machine is built around Thomson Linear Bearings, which are the smoothest, quietest and heaviest-duty bearings available.
As well as the linear bearing system for vertical movement, the bar rotates on 4 x 25 mm linear bearings making it very easy to lock off even when fully loaded.
Counter-balanced weights reduce the weight of the bar from 25 kg to 3 kg making this the perfect machine for beginners, etc. Built from 100 x 50 mm and 70 x 70 mm box section steel, the Watson Counter-Balanced Plate Loaded Smith Machine is designed and built to take years of heavy use and abuse and still feel silky smooth to use!
Fully welded lock pins, instead of bolted, reduce maintenance and increase safety. Weight plate storage pins fitted as standard.
